Farris Wortham Obituary

Jonesboro-Farris Lynn Wortham, a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 17, 20252. He was seventy-seven. Born in Locust Grove, Arkansas to Harold and Sarah Wortham. Farris graduated from Cash High School in 1965. Farris grew up in Cash, Arkansas before moving to Jonesboro. After more than 30 years in the industry, he retired from G.E. Farris enjoyed talking with friends and family, watching westerns, bargain shopping, joking around and especially going to Kroger to chat with everyone, down every aisle. He was always telling stories of good times and reminiscing of the past. He loved his church and was an active member of Nettleton Church of Christ. Farris will always be remembered for his strong will and big heart. Farris is survived by one sister; Linda Meador of Blytheville, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives as well as many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers'; Wayne Wortham, Danny Wortham and Steve Wortham; one sister, Glenda Watling. Visitation will be Monday 20th at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services are at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday 21st in the Chapel.
