James Harvey "Jim" Late

James Harvey Late, 59, of Maynard, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025, at NEA Baptist in Jonesboro, Arkansas, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on October 29, 1965, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Harvey James Late and Betty Lois (Bland) Late, Jim grew up in a family that instilled in him a strong sense of community and work ethic. After completing his education, he went on to become a master electrician, proudly serving his community for many years with skill and dedication. Jim was well-respected by those who knew him, not only for his craftsmanship but for his genuine kindness and generosity. Jim was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hunter and Juanita Late, and maternal grandparents, Lewis and Bessie Bland. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his children, Brittany Kerley, William Late, and Savannah Meyer; his parents, Harvey and Betty Late; and his grandchildren, Wyatt Kerley, Gracie Kerley, Cooper Meyer, Coy Kerley, Wynona Meyer, Kamden Late, and Ellie Mae Late. Jim will also be deeply missed by his sister, Cindy Dauck; nephews, AJ Dauck and Hunter Dauck along with a host of extended family, friends, and all who were touched by his warm spirit. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McNabb Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with Mike Roberts and Ligie Waddell officiating. All services will be conducted in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, Arkansas. Jim will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his community. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
