Larry A. McMillon 77, of Mundelein, Illinois, passed away January 27, 2025 at Advocate Medical Center. He was born in Paragould to Flossie (Levins) and Herchel McMillon as one of nine children. He married Margaret Schramm June 5, 1971. Larry retired from the Village of Wilmette where he was the lead mechanic. He was not just a great man, husband, father, grandfather, brother and true friend, he was a man whose presence brought smiles and warmth to those around him. Larry's life was a testament to the values he held close, kindness, integrity, patience and dedication. His wisdom, stories, and jokes are going to be greatly missed, and he leaves a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
Larry is survived by his loving bride of 54 years Margie; children, Jerritt (Tracey) McMillon, Shannon (Christine) McMillon, Kelley (Darren) DeSchryver, and daughter-in-law Amanda (the late Phillip); grandchildren, Emma, Shane, Tim, Teige, Brooke and Bryce; siblings, Jim (Gloria) McMillon, Jackie (Beverly) McMillon, Curtis (Ann) McMillon, Tony (Patty) McMillon, Marcella Jones, and Shirley Henson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip McMillon; and brothers, Donald and Freddie McMillon.
A funeral to celebrate Larry's life will be Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 1 PM at Liberty Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
