Paula Jean Smith

1942 - 2025

Paula Jean Smith was born March 25, 1942 died on April 18, 2025 at the age of 83 in Paragould AR. Paula was born to Lila Ruperd and Rahmon Kahn in Detroit Michigan but moved to Sacramento and then settled in Stockton California when about 4 years of age, eventually landing in Paragould AR in 2000. She came in contact with Jehovah's Witnesses when her mother started studying and progressed to baptism at the age of 16 in June of 1958. She was the last surviving of four siblings, three of whom were also dedicated Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by four children: Sandra (Frankie) Galgano, Dawn Cox both of Paragould AR, Marcus Lockhart of Fayetteville AR, Guadalupe (Christina) Lopez of Monette AR as well as grandchildren: Big Mike Miller, Maya Johnson, Lil Mike Turner, Tia Wiriaatmadja, Darelle Wiriaatmadja, Tanya Graves (Rodger II), Delbert Miller, Ryan Miller (Jessica Ramer), Bryan Miller, Alex Lockhart, Jordan Lockhart, Evan Jenkins, Felicia Goerzen, Michael Goerzen, Donald Goerzen and great grandchildren Deshawn Miller, Mike Miller, Armani Johnson, Furious Johnson, Bryan Oliver, Brazillian Oliver, Iyanna Turner, Zaniyah Turner, Husani Turner, Xavier Daniels, Trustyn Daniles, Tatiana Daniels, Layla Daniels, Rodger Graves III, Tremayne Miller, Sergio Badillo, Pila Miller, Eva Badillo, Olivace Ramer, J'Nella Ramer, Demarcus Miller, Madison Hanks, Kaylee Goerzen, Aaden Swan, Zoey Goerzen, Sapphire Goerzen; as well as many extended family and friends in California and locally. Paula's favorite verses of the Bible was Psalms 23 which with only six verses she said she used to have it fully memorized. But Paula did her best to offer hope to many of her home health aides, nurses and staff listened as she described a world that she was waiting for, one free of health issues and the opportunity to serve Jehovah more fully with her family reunited. A memorial of Paula Smith will be held on May 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1415 US 49 North, Paragould AR.
