Thomas Murray Obituary
Thomas Dewayne Murray of Paragould, Arkansas, departed from this life and ran to the arms of Jesus on August 13, 2025. Born on Oct 29, 1972, to Ray and Dorothy Murray, "Tommy" was a light in the lives of those who loved him. His smile was contagious, and his stories never-ending. He loved truck driving, NASCAR racing, and his family above all other things. He found joy in the little things: weekends spent grilling good food, slow drives to watch the sunset, and a good afternoon nap. He is loved by many and will be remembered for his joy, his jokes, and his good looks, as he would be sure to note.
Tommy had a passion for truck driving and, despite not working over the road for many years, his love for it never faded. He found joy in sharing this passion with his daughters, and many memories were made nationwide in the cab of that Peterbilt. He loved to share many other things with those he loved; frog gigging, varmint hunting, corn picking, and pecan gathering were a few activities Tommy shared with those he loved most. The time spent, though, is what was held dearly by all, especially Tommy. You see, he just loved to be surrounded by people and to watch them smile. He loved to make people laugh, and he never met a stranger, not at the supermarket or the loading dock. Tommy was a magnet for people and became a friend to all he attracted. A loving friend, son, brother, father, and papa, Tommy held many titles. No matter the role he played, the love he gave was immeasurable. To be loved by Tommy was to be blessed by God, and to know he is now in the arms of Jesus is to be blessed with peace.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Trever Lane Carter; and nephew, Brett Grage.
