Troy Allen Pillow

Troy Allen Pillow, 55, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 12, 1970, in Edgewood, Maryland, and raised in Paragould, Troy lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and an entrepreneurial spirit. A proud graduate of Greene County Tech High School, Troy went on to serve his country in the United States Army before stepping into the world of business. For over 20 years, Troy also carved out a successful career with Google performing search engine optimization, coding, and marketing - all self-taught skills. Over the years, he also poured his heart into many ventures - from selling fishing lures to screen-printing, to founding Happy Popper's Kettle Corn, a wildly popular business that brought joy to so many. Wherever his work took him, he had the pleasure of meeting people from all walks of life. Throughout it all, Troy brought heart and an unmistakable, easygoing spirit to everything he did. Troy was known for his quick wit, warm nature, and ability to make everyone feel at home. He never sought the spotlight but was always the one you could count on. As a husband, father, son, and brother, Troy was devoted to his family. He shared 31 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, April, and was a proud and loving father to Taylor Pillow (Rain), Ashlyn Pillow, and Isaac Pillow (Amanda). Becoming "Grandpa" to his cherished grandson, Andrew, brought Troy even more happiness and pride. Troy's memory will live on through his father, Wesley Pillow (Sharon); his mother, Peggy Wilson (Jim); his sister, Kathy Price (Garrick); and through countless family and friends who will never forget his laughter, his stories, and his laid-back charm. He found peace and happiness outdoors, whether fishing, traveling, spending time with friends, or simply being with his dogs. His stories, his laughter, and his presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14. Services will follow at 10 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel, 1629 E. Nettleton Avenue in Jonesboro. Burial will be private. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Emerson Funeral Home
