BONO - William Donald Chase Coffman, 18, of Bono, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, in Jonesboro. Born on May 19, 2006, in Southaven, Miss., to John Coffman and Michelle Burgess, Chase had lived in Bono for the past eight years, having previously resided in Walnut Ridge, Pocahontas and Albuquerque, N.M.
A proud member of Community Fellowship Church, Chase was active in ROTC and cherished his classmates. He was part of the drill team at Westside High School, sang in the choir, and had previously played in the band and played football.
Chase had a passion for flying airplanes and was an exceptionally artistic individual. His dream was to serve in the United States Air Force. Chase also enjoyed collecting crystals and rocks, loved his dog Patch, and deeply cared for his family. Known for his kindness and good manners, Chase will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Celia Tatum.
Chase is survived by his father, John (Patsy) Coffman of Bono, and his mother, Michelle (Aaron) Burgess of Brookland. He is also survived by three brothers, Brandon Cross of Pocahontas, Austin Born of Jonesboro and Trey (Ellie) Coffman of Nebraska; three sisters, Kelee (AJ) Champion of Paragould, Kaitlyn Coffman of Memphis and Brittany (Nate) Watson of Paragould; as well as four nieces, Chloe, Carly, Clara and Sadey, and three nephews, Everett, CJ Champion and Sylus Born.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Justin Jarchow.
