Chris Balcom Obituary

JONESBORO - Chris Eric Balcom, 51, of Jonesboro, departed this life Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his home. He was born March 9, 1972, at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina to Thomas David and Brenda Sue Balcom. Chris was a loving son, a torment to his younger sister, Andrea, a gaming buddy to his cousin, Nick, and a friend to those who knew him best.

He worked in the NEA Baptist Cardiac Catheterization Lab for 13 years after graduation as a registered nurse. He took on new roles and positions during this time and was often encouraged to do so by fellow workers. He felt close to these co-workers and considered them good friends and a kind of second family. He loved his job and was dedicated to the tasks at hand.

He loved building computers and was the go-to guy when stuff broke. He was a member of the Greensboro Road Church of Christ. Chris will be missed by all.

He is survived by his parents and his sister, Andrea L. Balcom, all of Trumann.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Saturday at Viva Drive Church of Christ with a celebration of his life to follow at 2 p.m.
