HARRISBURG - Don W. Spiegel, 71, of Harrisburg, departed this life Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at his residence in Harrisburg. He was born July 12, 1952, in Jonesboro, the son of Oliver W. and Ethel E. McCanless Spiegel; they both preceded him in death.
He was also preceded by two brothers, Ronnie Wendel and George Allen Spiegel.
Don was a farmer and a truck driver. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in White Hall and enjoyed hunting, fishing, car racing, riding around and spending time with family and friends. Don really enjoyed working.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cathy Parker Spiegel of Harrisburg; one son, Derek (Angelina West) Spiegel of Jonesboro; one granddaughter, Rosie Grace Spiegel; one niece, Jennifer (Michael) Smith, and one nephew, Jeff (Tiffany) Spiegel, of Harrisburg.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg. Derek Spiegel will speak at the service. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Spears, Mike Casebier, Jeff Wells, Sherman Drum, Mitchell Drum, Kevin Owens, Doyle Ball, Joe Jimerson and David Wallace.
