Ed Allred Obituary

OSCEOLA - Ed Allred, 81, of Osceola, passed away on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025. He was born on Feb. 18, 1944, to Bethel and Katherine Allred.

Ed was retired from the City of Osceola, where he worked for 27 years as Director of Public Works. Ed was a member of Osceola First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and on many committees. He loved working with the prison ministry for 32 years. Ed enjoyed many forms of art work, drawing, painting and woodworking. In his woodworking he made the Nativity and Living Bethlehem scene for Osceola First Baptist Church. His yard work, wood shop, along with family and friends was a big part of his past time.

Ed is survived by his wife, Glenda Allred; son, Gavin Allred (Tracey); grandchildren, Sarah Allred and Hannah Allred. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Maurice Allred and sister, Peggy Glenn.

A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 15, from 1 to 2 p.m., with a funeral service following at 2 p.m.
