Erma Doty Obituary
BAY - Erma Coy Doty was born April 23, 1930, in Bono and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. She married Lelon Doty on Feb. 1, 1947.
Erma enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing. She was an excellent seamstress and loved spending time with friends and family.
She will be sadly missed by her family including her daughters, Linda Olson of Jonesboro and Patti (Ryan) Patterson of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Jason Llewellyn of Tonasket, Wash., Holly (Tony) LaGuardia of Mount Juliet, Tenn., Greg Olson of Jonesboro, Matthew Patterson and Christopher Patterson, both of Boise; great-grandchildren, Lilly and Layla Olson of Jonesboro and Chance Llewellyn of Mountain Home, Idaho; sister, Freida Bryant of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Lelon, her parents, Everett Coy and Minnie Stokes Coy, brother, Raymond Coy, and sister, Marie Lewis.
Her neighbors in Bay and her church family at Parkview Baptist Church were also her extended family.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Emerson Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with Brother Bubba Reese and Brother Wayne Hillis officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
