JONESBORO - Frankie Nell Grisham, 80, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born Dec. 3, 1942, near Leachville to Frank and Cullie Louise Orsburn.
Frankie had lived in Jonesboro since 1986 and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney World, taking care of her family, and volunteering at the Church Health Center, which she did for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Her father, Frank Orsburn was one of the survivors of the sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis, an American naval ship, which sank during World War II, of which Frankie was very proud.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jim Grisham, daughter, Barbara (Greyson) Sanders, and granddaughter, Samantha (Cory) Hess.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. today, Jan. 20, at Emerson Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fred Haustein and Brother John Miles officiating. Burial will be private.
