JONESBORO - Gary Lynn Ivy, 63, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born July 29, 1958, in Jonesboro to Tom and Doris Bond Ivy.
Gary worked as a truck driver until retiring. He loved singing, he wrote poetry and he was a songwriter and musician.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 43 years, Marilyn Maxwell Ivy, a son, Barry Don Ivy, and a brother, Ronnie Ivy.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Gary include his two sons, Brad (Jacqueline) Ivy and Perry (Marjorie) Ivy; two daughters, Tonya Ivy and Morgan (Tommy) Eagan; five grandchildren, Payton Ivy, Paris Ivy, Porcelyn Ivy, Mark Allen Ivy and Inman Eagan; a brother, Stephen Ivy; two sisters, Judy Brinkley and Marshia Vanslyke; and a special friend, Janie Selby.
Chapel services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave. in Jonesboro. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service.
