Jack Hamilton Obituary
PARAGOULD - Jackie Ray "Jack" Hamilton, 79, of Paragould, passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023. He was born in Paragould on July 4, 1944, to Lois and Dovie Holifield Hamilton.
Jack graduated from Paragould High School in 1962. He earned his associate's degree from Arkansas State University. He was a veteran having served his country in the Army National Guard.
Jack began working for Monroe, and he retired as a planning manager after 32 years of service. He married Jackie Pruitt on Oct. 8, 1982.
Jack enjoyed fishing and duck hunting, but his favorite pastime was playing golf. He could always be found on a fairway, a love he passed down to his son, Nathan.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kenneth Hamilton, and sisters-in-law, Shirley Hamilton and Jean Hamilton.
Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jackie Hamilton, a son, Nathan (Christa) Hamilton, granddaughter, Ashlyn Hamilton, and brothers, Jim (Judy) Hamilton and Jerry Hamilton, all of Paragould.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Heath Funeral Home. A graveside funeral will begin at 3 p.m. in Linwood Cemetery.
