BAY - Elvis "Jack" Travis Jr., 68, of Bay passed from this life Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born Aug. 19, 1954, in Jonesboro to the late Effie Eula Travis and Elvis Travis Sr.
Jack enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and fishing. Jack served our country in the United States Army. He was also a pilot, enjoyed flying, and was a flight instructor for several years.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas "Bud" Travis, and sisters, Joan Rodriguez and Nadine Travis.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Travis of the home; daughters, Brandi (Ken) Hiscox and Stacy (David) Travis; grandchildren, Dylan Brewer, Bethany Evans, Cody Maggard, Cory Maggard, Courtny Maggard, Christopher Maggard and Chasity Maggard; and great-grandchildren, Stella Evans and Karyson Short.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Oaklawn Cemetery.
