Leonard O'Brien Obituary

PRESTON, Mo. - Leonard Max O'Brien, 82, of rural Preston, Mo., died Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his home. Born July 2, 1942, in Trumann, he was the son of the late Virgil Everett O'Brien and Rilla Brown O'Brien. On July 26, 1977, he married Linda Brinkman who preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2011. Max had worked at International Shoe Factory, did maintenance work, and then worked at Walmart in Camdenton until 2023. He attended First Baptist Church in Preston.

He is survived by four sons Dennis O'Brien of Marshall, Chris O'Brien of Bucklin, Doyle O'Brien of Bucklin and Devon O'Brien of Preston; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne O'Brien of West Memphis; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Andrew Todd O'Brien; two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Preston.
