Mamie Cox Obituary
JONESBORO - Mamie "Mimi" Cox, 87, of Jonesboro, joined her beloved husband, William Stanley "Bill" Cox, Jr., in heaven on Aug. 17, 2025. Known for her nurturing personality and philanthropic ways, Mimi was the heart of family gatherings and the keeper of memories.
She is survived by her devoted children: Sammye (Jeff) Pagan of Jonesboro, and Buddy (Gina) Cox of Birmingham, Ala.; along with five grandchildren: Matt (Elisabeth) Pagan and Jonathan Pagan of Fayetteville; Peary (Tiffany) Cox of Richmond Hills, Ga.; Tyler (Hannah) Cox of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Emily Cox of Antioch, Tenn. She also cherished her three great-grandchildren: Madison Jane Cox, Jordan Patrick Cox, and Owen Matthew Pagan.
Visitation is set for Friday, Sept. 19, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will follow on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park, with a memorial service immediately after at 2 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
