Mark Burrus Obituary

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - John "Mark" Burrus, 64, of Panama City, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024. He was born July 3, 1960, in Whidbey Island, Wash.

Mark attended Nettleton High School. He enjoyed fishing and watching sunsets from the beach. Mark was awarded his Merchant Mariner credentials issued by the United States Coast Guard National Maritime Center. He was also a Master Mariner and radar observer.

Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Alicia Burrus; his son, Brandon Burrus; grandchildren, Ariana Bolton, Jordan Bolton, Jacob Burrus and Madison Burrus; his parents, John Edward and Arkie Della Burrus; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy Lynn Crabtree and her husband Mark; brother, Michael Alan Burrus; and his fur babies, Molly and JR, as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 2403 Harrison Ave., Panama City.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Services are in care of Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemeteries.
