OSCEOLA - Mildred "Millie" Paine Wilson, 95, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, in Paragould. Born on March 7, 1929, in St. Louis, she was a cherished member of the community and an active member of Wilson's Cooperative Club.
Mildred enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. During her marriage to Bob Wilson, she enjoyed spending time on their ranch and was an avid hunter. Known for her generosity, she often shared her time and resources with those around her.
Mildred was a lifelong worshipper at Wilson Methodist Church in Wilson.
She is survived by her loving family members, Diana Wilson Gray (Terry York) of Salem, Midge Wilson Ellison (Mike) of Blytheville, Steve A. Wilson (Sheri) of Memphis, Robert E.L. Wilson V (Louise) of Memphis and Patricia P. Wilson (Mike) of Little Rock. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also leaves two very special friends, Linda Beecham and Linda Warhurst, to cherish her memories.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Joshua and Grace Martin, her first husband, Bob Paine, her second husband, R.E.L. Wilson III "Bob," Ruth Petty, Norine Adams, Michael E. Wilson and Frank L. Wilson.
Visitation for Mildred Wilson will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson Methodist Church followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., officiated by Dr. Gary Yarbrough. Her ashes will be laid to rest during a private burial in Rivercrest Gardens Cemetery at Marie.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the following organizations: CASA of the 16th District, in care of Lauren Duncan, P.O. Box 936, Heber Springs 72543; or the Blytheville Humane Society, 1900 N. Sixth St., Blytheville 72315.
Wilson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements for Mrs. Wilson.
