Adolphe Renkiewicz Obituary
Father Adolphe was born Oct. 9, 1930, in Meriden to the late Adolph and Anna "Sally" (Duszlak) Renkiewicz. He graduated from St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield and attended St. Bernard Seminary in Rochester, New York. He was ordained on May 10, 1956.
Father Adolphe is survived by his nieces and nephews, Donna Legner, and her husband, Robert, Thomas Ring, Robert Ring and his wife, Sharon, Sally Kalena and her husband, James, Laurie Daigle and partner, Carol, Christine Briers and her husband, Steven, and Aimee Gallagher; his two sisters-in-law, Barbara and Carole. Father is also survived by his caregivers, Philip and Jessica Pietras; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Norman and Edwin. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at the Our Lady of Angels Chapel, 1315 Enfield St., Enfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel in Enfield. Burial will be held private at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Saint Lawrence Seminary, 301 Church St., Mt. Calvary, WI 53057, or the Felician Sister's Retirement Fund, 1315 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082. For online condolences please visit

My wife and I were married by Father Renkiewicz at St Adalbert Church in Enfield on August 30, 1985. We have fond memories of him. One such memory was the phrase that our love would be "continuous and contiguous". RIP, David & Mary (Johnson) Thomas.
