She was an avid sports fan, routing for the Patriots, UConn women's basketball, UHart women's basketball and the WNBA.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Craig Preston and his wife, Barbara. She leaves three loving children, Sandra (Thomas) Blake of Richland, Washington, Pamela (Joseph) Sarno of Enfield, and Rebecca (David) Miranda of Winchester, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren, Sarah (Dennis Ferrer) and Ryan Blake, Joseph, Katie and Emily Sarno, Megan, Jordan, Justin and Shannon Miranda; and her brother, Peter Preston and his wife, Marceline of Savannah, Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
