Tony enjoyed spending time at his Cape Cod home in Chatham, Mass., boating, fishing, clamming, and spending time with family and friends. He was a fun-loving, caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all.

Besides his wife, Joyce, of 41 years, he leaves two sons, Kevin A. Vallez and his wife, Jennifer, of Ellington, and Daryl J. Vallez and his wife, Darci, of Avon; a brother, A. Jerome Vallez and his wife, Rhoba, of Naples, Fla.; two loving granddaughters who he adored, Sophie and Lola; his step-mother, May F. Vallez of West Hartford; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Vallez of Prior Lake, Minn., and Sonia Vallez of Holiday, Fla. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Michael Vallez.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of his family. Aunt Joyce, Kevin and Daryl,

Thinking of you still when I think of family and the coming Holidays. I hope you find joy in the season with each other. I'm sure when my sibs and I get together at Mom's for Christmas we'll be sharing stories of the Vallez 'boys'. I am sad but happy still for the joy Uncle Tony brought to you and others. Love Dee-Dee
