Dennis Eden Obituary
He was born in Oxfordshire, England, on Oct. 24, 1930, and had lived in East Hartford for many years before moving to South Windsor five years ago. Before retiring he was employed by Sorenson Lighted Controls of Hartford as a toolmaker. Dennis enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, Beryl, he leaves their children, Jeffrey Eden, and his wife, Jaclyn, of West Hartford, and Janet Presutti, and her husband, Kenneth, of Vernon; five grandsons, David, Brian, Michael, Matthew, and James; and many longtime friends and family members, including ones in England and Canada. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Joyce, and sister, Joan Cherry.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Wapping Community Church, 1790 Ellington Road, South Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hole-in-the Wall Gang Camp, 555 Long Wharf Drive, Suite 1D, New Haven, CT 06511-6102.
