Floyd Briggs Obituary
Floyd was born Aug. 4, 1926, son of the late Maude and Perry Briggs. He attended Hall High School, Class of 1943. Floyd enjoyed being with his family, gospel, country music and basketball – Go UConn!
He is survived by his two children, Linda Javarauckas and husband, Frank of South Windsor and Floyd Briggs and wife, Coral of Toney, Alabama; five grandchildren, Scott Sanderson and wife, Elizabeth of Manchester, Erik Sanderson and wife, Leah of Andover, Cathy Cyr of East Hartford, David Briggs of Ellington and Tammy and Nicholas Petrasso of Idaho Falls, Idaho; great-grandchildren, Adam, Nicholas, Marcus and Paul; as well as many other extended family members. He was predeceased by his wife, Amanda Labonte; beloved sister, Vanda Wogman; brothers, Perry and Roger Briggs; and son in law Russell Sanderson.
Floyd's family would like to thank the Vernon Hospice staff for their care and a special thank you to Toma, an angel sent to us to help in Dad's final days, for her love, support and compassionate care.
In honor of Floyd's request, there will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
