Fredericka Thomas Obituary

Fredericka "Ricky" (Schuh) Thomas, 98, of Vernon, wife of the late Edwin A. Thomas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Woodlake at Tolland.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late Alfred and Laura (Ott) Schuh, she grew up and lived in the Philadelphia area for most of her life. She lived in Cape May, N.J., for 25 years before moving to Vernon 13 years ago. She enjoyed cooking and making pies for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Carole Cronsell, and her husband, Ronald, of Tolland; two grandchildren, Michael Kozma, and his companion, Helen Hynes, of Enfield, and David Kozma, and his fiancée, Robin Campbell, of Vernon; and two great-granddaughters, Tarra and McKenzie Kozma. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Kim Marie Kozma; her great-grandson, M. Scott Kozma Jr.; her brother, Alfred Schuh; and her sister, Harriett Schuh.

A memorial service to celebrate Fredericka's life will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 6 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 523 Hartford Turnpike (Route 30), Vernon. Burial will be Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Sunrise Memorial Park in Philadelphia, Pa.
