Gerald Cosman Obituary
Gerald "Gerry" Cosman, a longtime resident of Ellington, CT, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, at the age of 88, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Houlton, ME, Gerry held a deep connection to his roots, which shaped his character, work ethic, and love for working outdoors.
Gerry will be remembered for his kind heart, sharp intellect, and the humility with which he lived his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
He is survived by his children, the Rev. Sandra Cosman and Steven Cosman (Rochelle), his grandchildren Allyson, Bailey, and Jordan Cosman, and James-Paul Cosman Forbes, brothers Kenneth (Maxine) and Max Cosman, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley, and parents, Murray and Elsie Cosman, and brothers Paul and David Cosman.
A graveside service will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Vernon, CT, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerry's memory to St. John's Episcopal Church, 523 Hartford Tpke, Vernon, CT 06066.
