Gertrude Roberts
ROBERTS, Gertrude "Trudy" (Panickzo) of Vernon, died peacefully surrounded by her children on November 16, 2024; on her 93rd birthday. A mother and grandmother, Trudy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Napoleon Joseph (Joe) and their son, Richard. She is survived by her devoted children, Terri Howard, Susan Johnson, Tim Roberts and his wife, Diane of Needham, Massachusetts, and Scott Roberts of Vernon.
Her legacy also lives on through her grandchildren. She will be remembered by co-workers and the community as the "face of the town of Vernon" having worked at the Vernon Town Hall for 37 years.
Visitation at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Vernon will be held on Saturday, December 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 33 West St., Vernon at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shriner's Hospital for Children.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
