Jacqueline Rago Obituary

Jacqueline Brown Rago, 68, passed away at Eisenhower Hospital in Rancho Mirage, Calif., on Monday, July 19, 2010, after battling lung cancer for more than 11 years.

She moved from Connecticut to California with her husband in 2008 and resided in Palm Desert until her death. Jacqueline had the heart of a lion and fought with everything she had until the very end. She loved socializing with friends and family, playing slots and bingo, and was a fanatic when it came to rooting for the Red Sox.

She is survived by her husband, of 50 years who renewed their vows last October, Nicholas Rago; her two sons, Nicholas Jr., and Thomas; her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart, Nicholas III (deceased), Matthew, Krystee, and Kelly; as well as her loving brother, Robert Brown, and family; and sister, Elizabeth Ryan, and family. She will be loved and missed by all of her friends and family left behind.

Jacqueline was surrounded by her loving family when she passed. She was an extraordinary person who brought joy to her family and friends. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and will forever be in our prayers and our hearts.

A private funeral will be held in South Windsor at a time to be determined.

Nick, Our very deepest sympathy goes out to you & your family. We all loved Jackie, her sense of humor was contagious and she sure could keep you laughing. Although many tears will be shed for Jackie I keep in mind her strong belief that she will be reunited with her beloved "Little Nicky", her Mom & Dad and Nanny and this gives me reason for a smile. Love to you all,
Linda, Tommy & Lisa Delisle
