Jozefa M. Tinz (Kobak), 81, of Vernon, beloved wife for 61 years of Leszek W. Tinz, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her cherished family, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Jozefa was born on February 27, 1944, in Brzostek, Poland, one of four loving children of the late Jozef and Aniela Kobak.
She resided in Vernon with her husband, Leszek, and their beloved dog, Beesley. She was employed as an assistant supervisor for 25 years with Allied Printing, in Manchester, where she was respected by many.
Jozefa was all about caring for her family. She cherished her time together with her husband, daughters and, especially, her granddaughter, Gabriella. She could often be found making her famous pierogies to give away to family and friends. She was the heart and soul of her family. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her beloved husband, Leszek, she leaves her two daughters, Beata Tinz-Hallett and her husband, Andrew Hallett, of South Windsor and Kathy M. Fisher and her partner, Matthew Crean, of South Windsor, and her granddaughter, Gabriella (Gabunia) Fisher of South Windsor. Other family includes her sisters, Alice of Florida and Christine of Vernon, and her sister-in-law, Wesley of Vernon. She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to her parents, Jozefa was predeceased by her son-in-law, Gregory, and her brother, Stanley.
Her family will receive family and friends at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, in South Windsor, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 4-6 pm, with a service to begin at 6 pm at the funeral home.
