Linda Silver Obituary

Linda (Carr) Silver, 75, of Vernon, went to be with her Lord Friday, Dec. 7, 2018.

Born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Harold and Rebecca (Nims) Brown Carr, she grew up in Rockville and lived in East Windsor and South Windsor before returning to Vernon. She was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1961. Linda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend, faithful in everything she put her hand to. She always found time to attend the extra-curricular activities of her children and grandchildren. Her presence will be dearly missed.

Linda was a longtime member of the Church of the Risen Savior in Rockville, and was strengthened by friendships developed through Union Church and the Stonecroft Bible studies. Linda was a member of the Eastern Star and was a Girl Scout Brownie leader.

Linda is survived by her beloved children, Leslie (Edward) Campolongo of Rockville, Melissa (Norman) Burghardt of Houston, and Robert (Dionne) Silver of Rockville; along with seven grandchildren, Nicholas Campolongo and his wife, Alison, Kristin Campolongo, Aubrey-Faye Burghardt, and Lauren, Rachel, Sarah, and Alexandra Silver.

Her family will receive friends for calling hours Thursday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ladd Funeral Home, 19 Ellington Ave., Rockville.

The funeral service will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Risen Savior, 9 Ellington Ave., Rockville. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield.
