Mary Uccello

Mary (Nisotis) Uccello, age 87, beloved wife of the late Nicholas R Uccello and daughter of the late Elefterios and Katherine (Shamora) Nisotis, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was retired from The Travelers Ins. Co. and the Enfield School Nutrition Services.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Marianne Uccello. She will also be joining her sisters, Rose Aliano, Florence Michaelson, and Mitzi Eukers; and her brothers, Peter Nisotis, Charles Nisotis, and Gregory Nisotis. Mary is survived by her brother, Gabriel Nisotis and his wife, Athena; her children, Nicholas Uccello and his wife, Patricia, Nancy Paradis and her husband, Steven, and Michael Uccello and his wife, Kelley; her grandchildren, Marianne Estey and her husband, Bryan, Anthony Uccello and his wife, Ellisa, Drew Paradis and his wife, Kristen, and Randy Paradis. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Corey, Zakk, Anthony, Elanna, and Logan.

Mary was a member of Laureateau Sorority, the Enfield chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for 51 years. She enjoyed days on the beach in Narragansett with her sorority sisters every summer. Mary was an avid reader and loved her family dearly. Mary had many friends, including a boarder and caretaker, Dennis Sanborn who was with her for 27 years. She will be missed by all.

Mary's family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.

A graveside service will be celebrated for Mary at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford.
