Paulette:
We just learned of Michael's passing last evening. After moving out of South Windsor, we do not stay in touch with everyone as often as we would like. With all 3 boys out of the school system, our "pipeline" has dried up. I am so sorry about Michael. I will certainly keep him in my prayers. I so remember the lacrosse years, fundraising, tournaments, and the high school games. Michael was always there supporting not only his sons, but the team as well. My best to you and your family. Please contact me anytime if you want to talk.

We were deeply shocked and saddened to have just heard about Mike's death from Ray Jr. With our busy lives and our kids all grown, it's easy to get caught up in the new stages of our lives and momentarily forget those who have been role models for our kids. Mike was Ray Jr's Cub Scout leader for several years and we'll always be grateful for Mike's patience and graciousness with that very rambunctious group of boys. Thank you, Mike. Our sincerest condolences to Paulette, Pat and Kevin on the passing of such a friendly, salt-of-the-earth family man.

I remember Mr. O'Malley dropping Pat off for our band practices and him always being at our lacrosse games, cheering us on. He was such a nice man, and my deepest sympathies go out to all his family and loved ones.

Paulette: It is difficult to find the words that would best provide you with comfort and support during this difficult time. May family, friends and memories of your beloved Michael help you through this time. For myself and all of your friends at work, if we can help just let us know.

I have memories of Mr. O’Malley coaching Kevin and I down at Nevers Road Park. He was a good coach but more importantly he was a great role model. I was truly fortunate to know him. My deepest sympathies go out to his family.

All Is Well
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household world that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.

Mike was a man of quality, a diligent professional who conducted himself with quiet dignity. Much as he persisted in his lunchtime runs despite the weather, he came back to work despite his illness. We will miss him.

Mike was one of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege and honor of knowing. I worked with Mike for many years and he was definitely one of the best. If more people were like Mike this world would be a much better place. My deepest sympathy to all of his family.
