Nancy Alice Died February 18th, 2024 at 3:29 p.m. officially. Nancy was daughter to and the 3rd child of William and Alice Viens, the widow of Peter Listro Sr.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Lenard Viens, and their three children, her sister Rosemary Viens and her son. Nancy is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law Peter Listro and McKerrin Kelly, and daughter and son-in-law Tina Listro and Phil Halmers, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was a wife, mother, conservationist, horticulturist, quilter, collector, dog lover and yoga teacher, and yet that says so little about her. You died this day. The legacy you leave behind is equal to the hearts you touched, the lives you bettered and the friends and family you left behind to inadequately pick up the pieces in your wake. This journey has been driven by your lessons of learning to follow our truths. Years after launching us into the world at large we still, from your lessons, question most things with a critical eye. Attempting to glean our own motives to the actions we take and the consequences of those actions. We greedily hold the memories of family, the lessons of growing and the spirit of discovery you cultivated in us. We love you as your children, grandchildren, friends, family and students. We mourn your passing for the hole it leaves in our hearts and souls. We know those you touched throughout your life would say the same. Blessed be Nancy.
Calling Hours will be held at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, located at 400 Main Street, Manchester CT on Friday, February 23rd from Noon till 2 p.m. and then again from 4 p.m. till 6 p.m. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
