Peter C. DiTomasso, 62, passed away after an unexpected heart attack while on vacation on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Pete loved nothing more than his family and the finer things in life.

Pete was born in Manhattan's West Village on Nov. 27, 1958. He attended F.D.R. High School in Brooklyn, Northeastern University in Boston, and graduated from New York Law School in 1985. After nearly a decade of practicing law in New York, he opened a firm in Hartford, which he operated for the last 27 years.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Francesca Villani; and his beloved children Anthony DiTomasso, his wife, Diana; his daughter Christina DiTomasso and her partner, Eric Stewart. Pete spoke with pride of his children and his great fortune in having married his soul mate. Pete and Fran raised their family in Hebron, where he had a positive impact on many in the community. Peter is also survived by his sister Leonilda; brothers Micheal and wife, Susan, Edward and wife, Rosetta; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his younger brother Louis; and parents Edward and Barbara DiTomasso.

Often the life of the party, his personality never went unnoticed. He loved music, dancing, and a Maker's Mark Manhattan at the end of the day. Pete humbly offered an impartial ear to whoever sought it and always looked out for everyone. He was thoughtful, kind, and most importantly, fun.

All are welcome to attend a memorial on Sunday, Aug. 15, at Po's Rice and Spice in East Hampton, from 2 to 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please enjoy a drink in Pete's honor.

Dearest Fran, Anthony, and Cristina and family. ...my DEEPEST MOST WHOLEHEARTED SYMPATHY TO YOU- and your entire family!!! I'm so sorry for your loss! I can't begin to tell you how stunned I was to hear about this. I have such happy memories of working with Peter and going to see kid Rock with you both and my sister Emily! Pete was a genuine real man! He was cut from a different cloth, he had empathy and heart as well as intellect and a great sense of humor!! I know you will miss him and cherish the memories you have of him Fran, you are a very strong woman and you raised two beautiful children with Peter and I'm glad that you had the time that you did with him. Please know that you are in my heart and in my prayers! Time heals all wounds or so they say, sending you lots of love and light. Blessings to you all! And God bless Peter DiTomaso!!!

We are college chums....mostly my husband. They hung out often while in college. We´d get together or speak on the phone occasionally after graduating including Pete and Fran´s nuptials. Sending love and our most deepest sympathy to Fran, Anthony, Christina and his other family members. He will be missed. May all the good memories console and keep you.

I knew Peter from oak st. I actually was thinking of him the day before he passed. I was gonna call him and catch up a bit. My sincere condolences on your loss. Reading about how he was is the Peter I knew. I am sorry for your loss.
