I've known Ray for over 44 years and in those years we become excellent friends and it was Ray who taught me a tool making trade at Stanadyne in Windsor Connecticut and when I decided to leave that" Hanoi Hilton"after 25 years and reinvent my life and relocate to Florida. I stayed with Ray and Dorothy for one week in January 2002 and Ray and I were able to locate a great home for my family in Paradise to move too . Ray and Dorothy were there at all occasions especially when my father Joe and mother came from Connecticut as snowbirds as my father Joe work with Ray in the tool room for years too. Also my mother-in-law Annalise who lived with us because of the great home we found with an in-law residence always enjoyed Ray and Dorothy's visits and always made her special German black forest cake. Ray and I always had a glass of wine together even towards the end at one of his last visits at my home this Christmas as I had to pick him up as he no longer Drove his car long distances. As my father passed in 2009 and mother-in-law in 2015, we had less people sitting around the big dining room table. But when Ray and Dorothy still came for special occasions we still had a lot of laughs and some great wine too. My family realizes it will never be the same as it used to be, but we will still cherish all the great memories and we are happy that Ray is at peace and to live to 87 years old is still a great accomplishment for sure. Ray in my book was always the best of the best and I know I will see him someday again for sure!! Joe the FL Realtor
