Robert A. Bomboy
1935 - 2025
Robert A. Bomboy, age 89, of Manchester, Connecticut, passed away at his home on February 21, 2025. Robert was born in Sunbury, PA, and was a son of Harold and Harriet (Culbertson) Bomboy.
He graduated from Sunbury High School in 1953, and continued on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University of Pennsylvania. He later received his Master's Degree from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute of New York. Robert worked as an Engineer for Pratt & Whitney in Hartford Connecticut until he retired.
He was a Red Sox and Patriots fan, and an avid reader. He was proactive in his health by walking and living a healthy lifestyle. He loved listening to Jazz and Band music, and watching classic movies.
Robert is survived by a sister-in-law, Patricia Bomboy of Huntingdon, PA. Also surviving are two nephews, Jeffrey Bomboy and wife Tammy, of Lancaster, PA, Craig Bomboy of Rockledge, Florida, and a niece, Amy Bomboy of Huntingdon, PA. Also, there are three great-nieces, and one great-great-niece surviving.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, the Reverend Charles L. Bomboy of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, and Nevin T. Bomboy of Huntingdon, PA.
There will be no public service. Interment will be at Creveling Cemetery in Almedia, PA, which will be determined by the family. For online condolences, please visit www.tierneyfuneralhome.com.
