Ronald Chester Swider
Ronald "Ronnie" Chester Swider, 73, of formerly of West Suffield, and Springfield, passed peacefully on August 3, 2025. Born in Hartford, on October 26, 1951, son of the late Chester and Marie (Caramazza) Swider. Ron Graduated from Suffield High School Class of 1969.
Ronnie was employed with Westvaco as a forklift operator for many years.
He enjoyed spending his time listening to music, specifically The Beatles, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Playing guitar and Jamming with his friend Al Drouin. He loved his family and time with Mr. Wilison 'Willie' his faithful and loving furry Pug. Most recently he enjoyed the Recreation Department at Parkway Pavilion, Enfield.
Ronnie is survived by his two sons Sean Swider, Christopher Swider and his wife Jess, two daughters Jennifer and Julie; sister Sharon Akkouris; brother Mark; and three grandchildren Elena, Daniel, and Troy; and his dearest friends Margie and Sonny Osowiecki. Besides his parents Ron was predeceased by his daughter Heather, and brother Donald.
His family would like to thank and acknowledge every department at Parkway Pavilion for their exceptional care and attention to detail; Aides, Nursing, PT, OT, Rehab, dining services, maintenance, the administration and everybody in between, specifically Emily, Lisa, Andrew and Sam. Including Beacon Hospice Care Team. Your excellent care made all the difference in Ron's last chapters.

Ron will be truly missed by all who knew him.
