Stephen Turner Obituary

Stephen Michael Turner
Stephen Michael Turner, born on July 26, 1959, in Hartford, CT, to Rose Coco and Edward Turner, passed away on November 2, 2024. As the middle son of a middle son, he held a unique place in his family, always finding balance in his love and dedication.
Steve shared a 36-year marriage filled with love and laughter with his wife and best friend, Ginette Caron Turner. He was the beloved father of Nathan, Haley and her husband Austin Colaluca, and Payton and his wife Jaime Nichols Turner. Steve's joy extended to his cherished role as "Pop" to his granddaughters Cora and Rose Turner, Adeline, and Giulia Stefania Colaluca.
He is survived by his brothers Edward Turner and wife Maryann Ripalone, and Joseph Turner and wife Lisa Whitten, as well as his brothers-in-law Herve Caron and Rene Caron, and sister-in-law Perry Caron Kokofsky and her husband, Steve's best friend, Danny Kokofsky. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Nancy Caron. He was a proud and loving uncle to his godchild Dannyboy, nephews Nicky and Ryan, and nieces Kimberly, Elisabeth, and Rachel.
Steve's talent for drawing and design led him to a successful career in graphic arts. A graduate of NCCC and RIT, he was passionate about creativity and precision in his work. His devotion to sports ran deep, and he was a dedicated fan of the Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox. Steve was a founding member of his fantasy football league, where he competed with his sons, family, and childhood friends, and served as the meticulous gatekeeper of his fantasy baseball league.
Music was another of Steve's great passions, and he was a walking encyclopedia of bands and lyrics. Jackson Browne's words, "Oh, won't you stay just a little bit longer…" capture the sentiment his family and friends feel as they say goodbye.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at a later date.

We met Steve 5 years ago working together at Amazon. We were part of a group of 5 that worked starting Sept 2019. The last time I saw Steve was in a meeting and he was talking about retiring end of Oct 2024. He was a very nice and giving person and both me and my partner are sending love and prayers for him and his family. God Bless and are deepest sympathy for his family. From Anthony and Tom.

Condolences to all. I grew up on Bristol, remember Steve as a kid...a good joyful kid. Delighted to see he and Danny remained buds....and their 3rd musketeer, Peter Montigny, and Steve are surely having fun in Heaven.
