Thomas Bordua Obituary

Thomas J. Bordua, 69, of South Windsor, formerly of Langdon, New Hampshire, died peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at the Hospital for Special Care.

Tom was born in New Britain on Aug. 12, 1951, son of the late Bernard E. and Anne (Cassarino) Bordua. He grew up in South Windsor and graduated from South Windsor High School with the Class of 1969. He played youth hockey and baseball. Tom worked at several nurseries including Baker and Burr in his younger years. In 1990 he built a home in Langdon, where he lived until 2016 when he moved back to South Windsor. While in New Hampshire he worked for United Natural Foods. Tom enjoyed cross country skiing, freshwater fishing, and bicycling.

He leaves his siblings, Daniel J. Bordua and his wife, Donna of Torrington, Paul J. Bordua of Enfield, Lorraine A. Breslin and her husband, Stephen of Stephens City, Virginia, and Francis J. Bordua and his wife, Lisa of South Windsor; his nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Justin (Corrine), Nathan, Christopher, and Emily.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, 12:30 p.m. at Center Cemetery on Old Main Street, in South Windsor. Attendees are requested to wear facial covering and maintain social distancing.
