Daniel C. Frisbie 1949—2017
Daniel C. Frisbie, 68, of Freeport, died Sunday December 17, 2017. He was born June 3, 1949 in Freeport, IL, the son of Charles and Janet (Tavenner) Frisbie. He married Cheri Feldman April 11, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV. Daniel was a 1967 graduate of Shannon High School and a 1972 graduate of Western Illinois University. He owned and operated Frisbie upholstery. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the Eagles Club. He loved spending time working in his hostas garden, with grandkids and watching them play sports, and spending time with friends. He loved animals, golfing, and crosswords. Daniel is survived by his wife Cheri Frisbie of Freeport, Il; children, Jessa (Nathan) Ovitt, Heather (Tony) Collalti, Brandi (Marty) Sellers, Jason (Karen) Feldman, and Josh (Stephanie) Feldman; grandchildren, Caleb and Brooklyn Sellers, Kyle, Kane, Ty, and Gage Collati, Finley Feldman, and Kiah, Laney, and Jonas Ovitt; brother, Don (Jeannie) Frisbie of Shannon, IL; mother-in-law Violet Fredericks; sister-in-law Melodie (Jim) Dewall; and two nephews Ryan (Carey) Frisbie, and Luke Frisbie. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Cody Frisbie.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 21, 2017 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Mike Jacobs officiating. Following the service there will be a celebration of life at the Freeport Eagles Club. A memorial has been established in his memory.
