Jo Markwardt Obituary

Jo Anne Markwardt 1947—2017
Jo Anne Markwardt, of Biloxi, Mississippi, formally of Freeport, Illinois, passed away, August 20, 2017, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her daughters. Born March 16, 1947, in Freeport, Illinois, she was the daughter of Glennen and Kathryn (Standring) Kaiser. Jo Anne graduated from Freeport High School in 1965, and married William Markwardt in October 1967. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 679 in Freeport and the Elks Lodge 606 in Biloxi, MS. Jo Anne relocated to her beloved Biloxi, Mississippi in 1993. Jo Anne is survived by her nephew, Matt (Tara) Kaiser; her daughters, Jodi (Jim) Herold, Susan (Luke) Rosenberger, Peggy (Tony) Folgate; grandchildren, Kevin Markwardt, Craig (Sara) Dailey, Kyle Dailey, RJ MacKenzie, Danielle (Caleb Marble) Witt, Shaun Witt, Nadya Rosenberger, Katie Folgate, Jesse Herold and Sadie Herold; and great-grandchildren, Eden Marble, Owen Dailey, Julian Dailey, Liam Dailey, Jia Dailey, Axel Dailey, Lila Herold. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
A celebration of her life will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2017, at the Eagle's Club in Freeport, IL.
