Joan Deininger Obituary
Joan S. Deininger died peacefully Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Middleton, WI at the age of 84. Joan was born on June 10, 1933 in Warren, IL to the late Harold and Rose (Wolfram) Slothower. She married George Deininger on April 2, 1975 and loved entertaining and cooking for her family. She spent 32 years in the accounting department at Micro Switch before retiring in 1988. She then continued working with her husband George at Deininger Floral until his death in 2008. Joan is survived by her children Douglas (Peggy) Leitzen of Marengo, Dianne (Larry) Marsh of Freeport and Val Leitzen of Madison, WI; her step-children Paul Deininger of Shannon, Kirk (Lois) Deininger of San Ramon, CA and Craig (Justine) Deininger of Freeport. In addition to children, Joan is survived by her grandchildren Jeremy (Abby) Leitzen, Amanda (Alex) Pointer, Mark (Christina) Marsh and Grace (Marcus) Maier, step-grandchildren Heidi Deininger, Brooke Deininger Wagner, Christopher (Natalie) Deininger, Kate (Mark) Carrao, Drake Deininger, and Marah (Craig) Dudenhoeffer. Joan was blessed with many great grandchildren Derek Leitzen, Adelaide Leitzen, Zachary Leitzen, Bradley Leitzen, Henry Leitzen, Archibald Leitzen, Nora Pointer, Emmy Pointer, Lena Pointer, Jessten (Karlie) Heimer, Jackson Heimer, Elizabeth Heimer, Seth Wagner, Finn Deininger, Jillian Deininger and Ephraim Carrao. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rose, her brother Keith Slothower, and her husband George.
A visitation will be held at Schwarz Park Blvd. Chapel on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. A memorial fund has been established for Friends Forever Humane Society in her memory.

Joan was such a beautiful person inside and out. I have many memories of her and George when they were dating and 1st got married. I was fortunate enough to be included in many of their family outings. Many fun memories with Dianne and Craig during our school years. Much love and hugs to all. She was a terrific person with a big heart.

My Wife and I offer our condolences on Joan's passing. She was a real lady we both worked with at Micro and after saw her at different occasions. I also knew her and her family at Warren.
