Patricia Cashman Obituary
Patricia Cashman, 82, of Freeport, died Friday June 23, 2017 in her home. She was born May 10, 1935 in Freeport, the daughter of Alvin and Harriett (LeBaron) Roemer. She married Willard Cashman on May 7, 1955 in Freeport. Mr. Cashman passed away March 8, 2003. Patricia worked at 1st National Bank for 10 years, Northwestern Telephone Company for 19 years, and then Union Savings Bank before retiring in 1997. She was an avid collector of bears. She was a huge Elvis fan and of all dogs. Surviving are brother, Larry (Regina) Roemer of Freeport; sister, Darlene Holdridge of Freeport; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 27, 2017 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Fred Scott will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for GiGi's Play House (8801 N. 2nd Street Machesney Park, IL 61115) in Patricia's memory. I had the pleasure of working with Pat every week for many,many years as she volunteered at the Hospital. Pat was a wonderful volunteer--always learning, caring, and kind. Her sense of humor and love of life was inspiring. Her dedication to helping others will be a treasured memory. Kay Brooks
