Philip Staley Obituary
Philip F. Staley, loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend was called to be with our Heavenly Father on July 5th 2016. Born August 8th, 1943, to Florence (Stoehr) Staley and Harold Staley in Green County, WI. Philip was a graduate of Lena-Winslow High School and NIU. A US Army veteran, he honorably served his country with pride during the Vietnam War era. Philip lived in Rockford, IL since 1996, where he shared in the lives of his two children, two grandchildren, three stepchildren and nine step-grandchildren. He was the owner of Hi-Five Sportswear in Loves Park, IL and a faithful member of Hope Evangelical Free Church in Roscoe, IL. Philip was predeceased by his parents and loving wife, Gayle (Lamb) Staley. Philip is survived by his son, Jeffrey Staley (Sarah) of Elgin IL; daughter, Wendy Williams (Brad) of Rockford IL; grandchildren, Ethan and Aiden of Rockford IL; brother, Jerry Staley of Apex, NC; sister, Jan Garst (Gerald) of Sahuarita, AZ; and stepchildren, David Tillery (Barb), Dan Tillery (Mary), Diane Wishop (Jeff). He is now at peace with our Lord and Savior.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 5656 Elevator Road in Roscoe, IL. Condolences may be sent to www.advantagefunerals.com

I Have know Phil for years. Playing baseball in their yard with Jerry and the neighbors. So sorry to hear of his passing, Phil was quiet and kind a good person to know, he touched many people's lives. He surely will be missed.

Harold Staley was employed by my father for over 20 years at his farm equipment company in Lena. He was a great employee and father to his family! Phil was a fine student at Le-Win and his Dad was so proud of him! Bless his family. M.N. "Butch" Polhill Lena
