Other survivors: son-in-law, David Biddick, Overland Park; Valerie's partner, Jill Brown, Santa Rosa; grandchildren, Natasha Ruser, Chicago, Sophia Ruser, Lincoln, Everly Biddick, Columbia, Mo., Ursula Biddick, Fort Collins, Colo., Lloyd, Jasmine, Dexter Biddick, all Overland Park; sister, Genevieve Myers, Lock Haven; sister-in-law, Victoria Peterson, Omaha.

Born, Lock Haven (11/8/31), to Albert F. Sr. and Mildred P. (Robb) Mitcheltree. Retired, University of Nebraska Teacher's College. Earned master's degree in music education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Married Leona Anderson on May 3, 1953, in Omaha. Taught music in St. Paul and Wymore. Member: Sky Knights; 702nd U.S. Air Force Band, Korean War.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Roper & Sons Chapel, 4300 O St. The Rev. Jay Schmidt. Visitation: 5 p.m. Thursday until services Friday, funeral home. Memorials to Tabitha Hospice, 4720 Randolph St., Lincoln 68510. Condolences or personal reflections may be left at www.roperandsons.com.

Dear Leona & Family,

My heart & prayers are with you on this sad day. What I remeber the most about Al was that I never saw him without a smile on his face, usually humming a tune--even during setup of the state fair booth. My Bernina and I will think fondly of him each time we set out to create again!
