Brad "Bud" Settell
November 18, 1955 - November 6 2022
Brad "Bud" Settell passed away November 6 2022. Born November 18, 1955 in Lincoln, NE to Robert and Mary Ann Settell (Lutz). Bud was co-owner of his family's business, Settell's printing, and was loved throughout the business community in Lincoln. Often, having no business dealings, people would stop in the shop, walk to the back room and catch up with Bud for a while. His kindness, empathetic heart, and sense of humor brightened many days of those around him.
Bud's biggest passion was music. A well-known bass player in Lincoln, Bud played in many bands at venues all over Lincoln. Bud came to life on the stage. Whether playing a classic rock song, or the a cappella song "Come Go With Me," Bud could do it all, and loved every second of it. He would often use his wireless bass and walk right onto the dance floor or over to tables. Everyone that came to see Bud play left happier.
Bud has been married to the love of his life, Koren, for 21 years and has been retired in Colorado since April 2017.
Bud, we love you, and we'll miss you so much.
Survived by: wife, Koren Settell (Horner); children Robert Settell (Bobby), Jessica Settell and spouse Josh, Nikkolas Settell and fiancée Taylor. Grandchildren include Coltyn Settell, Jadeyn Settell, Masyn Settell, Paityn Settell, and Wesley Settell. Sister: Kathy Baker. Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents (Bob and Annie), Mother-In-Law (Charlene Arnold-Horner), Sister (Carol), Brother (Robert).
