On behalf of the Lincoln Memorial Day Observance Association (LMDOA) we would like to express our sincere sympathy on the loss of your loved one. A man of great courage who served in our nation’s military , so that we may have the freedoms we enjoy in America today. Each year, a Candlelight Vigil is held on Memorial Day night at the Antelope Park Veterans Memorial Garden, 30th and “A” Street in Lincoln (East of the Auld Building). At this time, all names of veterans of our Armed Forces, in Lancaster County, who passed away since the last Memorial Day Candlelight Service, are read in a solemn ceremony. George's name will be read at this time. We invite you to come out for this service and bring your family and friends. Time is tentatively set for 8pm. This is Lincoln’s way of honoring our veterans whom shall not be forgotten. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Bus Knight was a gentleman. He was always well dressed and well mannered. He was kind. He was concerned about his community. His passing is a loss to all who knew him and those who didn't missed an opportunity to know a good man.

Our sincere sympathy to the family of George Knight. The Knight family is greatly admired in University Place and in Lincoln. I have fond memories of growing up in University Place and being friends with them. My parents(Vance and Barbara Rogers) appreciated the support by the Knight family of Nebraska Wesleyan. The memory of George will live on in our hearts.

I wish I could be there, George and family, to pray for your dad. I will be remembering him in prayer here in my parish. You can be very proud of him and grateful to be his son. Growing up with you, I knew that he was a special man, even though I didn't know him myself. May God give you comfort and peace and receive your dad into his Kingdom, rewarding him for his faith and his service of others.
