Jacqueline Wiedel Obituary
November 30, 1941 - January 23, 2025
Jacqueline "Jackie" Jo Wiedel passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at Courtyard Terrace Assisted Living in Hebron, Neb., at age 83. Born on November 30, 1941, in Alexandria, Neb., Jackie graduated from Hebron Public Schools. She married her high school sweetheart, Roger Wiedel, in 1960, raising nine children and creating a family legacy of 101 members, including 31 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
A devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Jackie served her parish faithfully. Known for her kindness and legendary cooking, she welcomed all with love. Jackie's legacy of faith, family, and service will be cherished forever.
Jackie is survived by eight children: Carlece (Pat) Kenner, Kelli (Terry) Burkey, Kurk (Kris) Wiedel, Casey (Stephanie) Wiedel all of Hebron, Neb., Cory (Jeri) Wiedel of Omaha, Neb., Kendra (Trevor) Jantzen of Adams, Neb., Curtis (Amy) of Hebron, Neb. and Craig Wiedel of Omaha, Neb.; 31 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Irma Headrick; in-laws, Cornelius and Wilma Wiedel; her husband, Roger Wiedel; son, Kevin Wiedel; and grandson, Jordan Burkey.
Rosary service will be Wednesday, January 29, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hebron, Neb. Officiant Father Steven Major. Mrs. Wiedel will lie in-state Wednesday, January 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kroll-Massey Funeral Home in Hebron. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
