Would it be nice if we could somehow get together over a cup of coffee and remember our friend Murry Shaeffer.

You will always be my friend Sandy sitting on the edge of that wash back in the early 1950´s letting dirt and very old Indian beads flow through our fingers. That arrow you shot into a cactus stayed there for as long as I lived there in remembrance of you. Who knows, it may still be there. I didn´t know you as long as many of your friends but from from the 1950´s to now, you are my friend.
GOD bless you and your family.

Well, the day is here, Murr. You always teased me about my passion for chasing dead people (genealogy), so here's one last comment on the subject, just for you:

"Remember me in the family tree, my name, my days, my strife,

Then I'll ride upon the wings of time and live an endless life."

Goetsche

I won't say good-bye 'cause I'll seeya some day on the other side!

I was saddened to hear of Murry's death. I enjoyed working with in the Stuart Building in the 80's. He was a good, decent honorable man.

Murry and I were law school class mates at UNL Law School, and we also officed together at several locations in Lincoln. I haven't talked to Murry much since he left Lincoln, and went to Cheyenne and then Washington, DC. It was a shock to learn of his death. I will always have fond memories of Murry.

Our condolences to Murray's family. He was a great friend to us ..best man at our wedding, our attorney in a time of great need and a very welcome and enjoyable houseguest whenever he came through North Platte enroute points west. He always seemed to appreciate the peace of the country...We wish peace for him and comfort for his family. We will miss him greatly.

Back when we worked in Rosslyn, VA I convinced Murray to walk across the Key Bridge into Georgetown to look at Betsy Johnson dresses. Murray loved to take walks so he readily agreed, but as we walked he asked, "Who the hell is Betsy Johnson?" At the store, Murray posed himself on a sunny spot near the window and stayed there until we left. I'm glad to have known Murray.

Murry, was a good friend to me. To know Murry was to love him. He had a gruff exterior, but underneath was the heart and soul of a beautiful person. I will miss him on the Compliance projects, and feel blessed to have worked with him on his last project. I will never forget his kindness to me. I don't know if in life he knew how many lives he touched, but I am prayful that on the other side he knows how much and how deeply he has touched so many people. God Bless you Murry, my friend, I will miss you and I wish you well. To Murry's family, my deepest condolences to you, please know that Murry will be greatly missed.

Murry, I will (and already do) miss you so much. Not only were you one of the funniest and most entertaining people I've ever met, but you were also a really great friend. I will never forget you and all the laughs we had over the past year. I can't believe you are gone and I am only comforted by the knowledge that you are with god now and no longer suffering. May god bless you forever.
