Joseph "Joe" J Staskiewicz, age 86, passed away April 23, 2024, at Bryan East Hospital. Joe was born February 20, 1938, in Omaha, NE and retired from BNSF railroad after 42 years of service.
Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille "Lucy"; daughter, Debbie Staskiewicz of Fontana, CA; sons: Steve (Karen) Staskiewicz of Omaha, NE and Dave (Gretta) Staskiewicz of Omaha, NE; grandsons: Eric (Ricky) Adams of Gladstone MO, Army SSG Nathan of Fort Benning GA, and Connor Staskiewicz of Omaha NE.
Survived by brothers: Ed (Nancy) and Jim (Lyn) Staskiewicz. Sisters: Theresa Oseka and Marge Harris. Survived by sisters-in-law: Stella, Susie, and Jean Staskiewicz, Kathy Bussey, Mary Harvey, Jane Moppin and Joyce Grosserode.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Sophie Staskiewicz; grandson, Drew Staskiewicz; brothers: Louis, Richard and Frank; and sisters: Dorothy Udron, Mary Wrubel, Rita Lorence and Phyllis Stopak.
Services - May 1, 2024, at St. John's the Apostle Catholic Church, 7601 Vine Street, Lincoln with Fr. Lyle M. Johnson presiding with a rosary at 10:00 a.m. and mass at 10:30 a.m. with luncheon to follow. Interment at St. John's Cemetery in Bellevue, NE at a later date.
